Diversity Peer Education Team (DPET) staff provide workshops and presentations intended to promote awareness about the diversity that exists on the KU campus. Members are available for presentations for classes and student organizations and are trained in issues of terminology and theory of diversity education, group facilitation techniques and general cultural awareness.
The History of DPET
In 1996, concerned students contacted Multicultural Resource Center staff with concerns about racial tensions on campus. As a result, the Diversity peer Education Team (DPET) was established.
